Kinosarai International Film Festival in Kyiv, July 28-31

In previous years, the festival of positive cinema "Kinosarai" was held in the village of Obyrok, in the Chernihiv region.

This summer, the International Festival of Positive Cinema "Kinosarai" was supposed to celebrate its first decade in its usual location. But due to the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, it was not possible to implement it.

The festival team decided to hold the event in Kyiv, at two locations at once.

The first is SKVO space on the banks of the Dnipro in Hydropark. This place is as close as possible to the atmosphere of the Obyrok farm in the middle of the capital.

The second festival location is the KINO42 arthouse cinema in Podil, where screenings do not stop even during air raids, because the cinema is under cover.

The theme of the 10th anniversary festival is "MANIFESTATION OF WILL." The "Kinosaray" team has an ambitious goal - to tell from different angles about the intra-personal and collective power that forms the Ukrainian thirst for the sustainable development of civilization. "We see this manifestation of will every day at the front and in the rear. By paying a high price, millions of Ukrainians are getting closer to military, cultural and ideological victory," the organizers say.

This year, international programs will feature 23 films from Belgium, Spain, Germany, the USA, France, Italy, Croatia and many other countries. In the international game competition, the film "Good Boy" by Ukrainian director Maria Ponomaryova, produced in the Netherlands, will be shown.

As for the national program, screenings of well-known Ukrainian films (for example, "Diaper Cake" by Anastasia Babenko) and national premieres are expected. In general, 12 Ukrainian short films are competing in the documentary and feature programs.

A teenage film competition will be presented separately.

The price of tickets: daily to the SKVO space — 200 UAH (Fri, Sat), 250 UAH (Sun), for all days 500 UAH. (on the day of the festival, the price is higher). Buy. Screening at KINO42 — 120 hryvnias. Entrance on the first day is free.
